	8th August 1984: P. T. Usha in 1984 Olympic 400m Hurdles final where she finished 4th with a timing of 55.42s .
	27th July 1976: Sriram Singh finished 7th in the final of men's 800m final at Montréal Olympics in 1976 with a timing of 1:45.77s
	30th Aug 2003: Anju George became the first Indian to win World Championship medal. Anju won bronze medal in the final of women's Long Jump with a jump of 6.70m at Paris.
	28th Aug 2004: Indian women 4x400m relay team stromed into final of Athens Olmypics 2004 with a national record timing of 3:36.89s but could not repeat the same feat in the final and finished 7th with a timing of 3:28.51s ( Indian team: Satti Geetha, K Mathews Beenamol, Chitra K Soman, Rajwinder Kaur)
	In 1984 Los Angles Olympics Indian women team finished 7th in the final with a timing of 3:32.49s. Team was consisted of P.T. Usha Vandana Rao, Shiny Abraham, M.D. Valsamma
